Tip 1: Rolling Admissions
- Use rolling admissions to your advantage by submitting your application as early as possible because most medical schools do rolling admissions
- The faster you submit the sooner your application is reviewed, the faster you can get and send secondaries and the sooner you get interviewed and accepted/rejected/waitlisted

Tip 2: The Cost of Applying
- Unless you’re using TMDSAS which has a flat fee it costs about $150-$200 to for a primary application and another sub $100 fee for a secondary
- The cost of food, wardrobe and travel also has to be taken into account
- budget about $5000 for everything for an application cycle
- Check the AMCAS and AACOMAS fee assistance program
Tip 3: Understand the Application
- Know all the different facets and factors of the application
Tip 4: Know Where You’re Going to Apply to Medical Schools:
- Don’t decide where you’re going to apply based on MCAT and GPA stats
- There are internal factors that medical schools have that they don’t advertise so don’t write a school off due to their average MCAT and GPA scores
- Consider factors like weather, location, away or close to family
Tip 5: Be Realistic w/Your MCAT and GPA
- If you can’t show that you’re academically ready for medical schools don’t apply
- Many students who’ve applied to medical schools got rejected due to substandard academic scores
